COLUMBIA, South Carolina – The South Carolina African Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the SC Governor’s Office of Administration, Guidehouse, and E-Vision Technologies will host a Small Business Grant Workshop for South Carolina Small Businesses on October 28th from 3-4 PM. The SC CARES Act Grant Management Program is a statewide recovery program for the Coronavirus Relief Fund which began accepting applications on October 19th for reimbursements for eligible COVID‑19‑related expenses for minority, small, and nonprofit businesses. The grants provide revenue to minority and small businesses to reimburse qualifying expenditures for providing services or revenue loss due to COVID-19. “This grant opportunity, particularly for those businesses that are Mom and Pop businesses with 25 employees are less, can be a game changer to sustain small businesses during these unprecedented times,” said Stephen Gilchrist, Chairman of the South Carolina African American Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage business owners and non-profit leaders to apply,” he said.
